Context:
1. Keep brand fresh / current – do not let customer attention flag;
2. Project WU as a socially responsible company;
3. Spotlight specific customer segment (secondary) responsible for substantial money transfers INTO Canada.
Span Solution: Interactive, incentive based FB campaign. SCI worked with its US
associates to design an FB app with simple back-end functioning.
Theme: “WIN A SCHOLARSHIP.”
Mechanix:
1. Inviting students (resident in Canada) to participate in a competition to ‘Win a Scholarship’;
2. ‘Likes’ from social media contacts required to muster support for a possible win;
3. Media: Very intense SM campaign backed up by a strong PR effort & traditional media support.
